SOULMATES, Thursday 23rd Oct., 2025 written update.

 

The episode starts with a funny exchange between Renuka and Paresh. Paresh looks confused as Renuka suddenly becomes energetic and excited about giving a special gift to her mother-in-law, Savitri, for her 75th birthday. Renuka’s excitement looks too perfect to be real — and it isn’t. Meanwhile, Tejas and Roshni also plan how to make Savitri’s birthday memorable. Roshni suggests giving Savitri a full makeover, but Tejas disagrees. He believes the best gift would be finding Savitri’s long-lost Navratna chain, which went missing years ago. He’s sure that returning it would make her happiest.

On the other side, Renuka’s excitement is fake. She’s not really thinking about Savitri’s happiness — she only wants the reward Savitri promised to whoever gives her the best birthday gift. Renuka wants that reward badly but doesn’t want to spend any money. She makes a plan with her friend Shakuntala to take an old television from Shakuntala’s house, clean it up, and gift it to Savitri as if it were new. Renuka thinks Savitri won’t notice the difference. Tejas accidentally overhears the plan and is shocked at his mother’s greed.

Elsewhere, Akash is preparing his own surprise — he wants to cook a special dish for Savitri. As he starts working in the kitchen, Sayali comes in and asks him for help with something. Akash agrees, and the two leave the house quietly. Tejas notices them sneaking out and wonders what they’re up to.

In the middle of all the excitement, it becomes clear that Savitri doesn’t care about makeovers or beauty products. She tells everyone that she wants nothing fancy or glamorous for her birthday. Roshni’s plan fails before it even begins. During the celebration, everyone starts to worry about Sachin. His phone is off, and he hasn’t arrived. Savitri notices his absence and feels hurt because Sachin has always been caring towards her. Sayali also grows anxious. Renuka, as usual, adds drama by suggesting that Sachin might be drunk somewhere. Her comment offends both Savitri and Sayali, who angrily scold her for saying such things.

Later, Roshni tries again to be part of Savitri’s celebration by bringing her into a room for a makeover. But things change when Savitri begins asking personal questions about Roshni’s family. Roshni panics because she has lied about her background and has no proof or photos of her family. She tries to avoid the questions, but Savitri becomes suspicious. Still, when Roshni finally reveals Savitri’s birthday look, everyone is amazed — Savitri looks beautiful and glowing.

Even then, one person is still missing — Sachin. Everyone keeps waiting for him, and his absence dampens the mood. Paresh finally suggests they start the puja without him.
